Crop Tracking App
This idea behind this project was to recreate the functionality of the web application for a mobile app so that if there was no GPS signal in the field, the application would still be able to retrieve, edit, and add new information to the crops. This was an experimental R&D project to check functionality in the field as well as to help create libraries of disease and blight, and use spectral information to quickly and intelligently classify these efforts.
Establishing Content Flow and Layout
After initial investigation and organization, wireframes were created and vetted for content, flow, and functionality with stakeholders and developers.
Creation of UI From Wireframes
Once the Wireframes were created and stakeholders and developers confirmed content and functionality needs, UI references were created for developers to begin work on creating the app interface.
Yield Tracking App
The application for this project was designed and created for users driving a field vehicle to collect LiDAR information in order to predict the yield of plants. Yield tracking can determine which varieties of nut producing trees are in full production, decline, and possibly disease among other data tracking needs for crops.
Design for Driving Navigation and Illiteracy
The challenge for this application was to make an easy to use application for users while driving large vehicles as well as for users that may be illiterate and would not be able to read instructions. I created a game based design with large simple buttons for on off implementation.
Sterling Infosystems
The following examples are of previous works for a client where I took their flagship product and reimagined the product to be able to quickly check applicants backgrounds for companies while at job fairs and conventions. The endeavor was to create a mobile application vs a web based application that was easy to use in situations where users needed to quickly enter an applicant’s information and move to the next so that all the information was accurate as well as secure.
